Annual Early Times Chapter car show, 2002

This past year the Early Times Chapter held a “car show within a car show”
during the National Convention in Charleston, West Virginia. The show is open to
all chapter members showing a 1926 to 1954 Pontiac in the stock classes. Chapter
members showed some incredible cars in both the popular vote show and the
points judged show, and these were the top three as selected by the chapter
officers.

Third place was awarded to the red ’53 Woody Wagon showed by Joe Wheat of
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Joe also received “Best of Show, post war” from POCI
during the popular vote show at the convention.
Ken Roach brought a burgundy ’31 Coupe to the show and took home a runner up
award from the Early Times Chapter. Ken hails from Chesapeake, Virginia, and
decided since it was close to attend his first national convention.
And the top car in our little show was the green ’26 2-door sedan shown by Andy
Wise from Ellendale, Delaware. Andy entered his car in the points judged show
at the convention this year.
Congratulations to Andy and all the members of the Early Times Chapter who showed their cars.

We will again be hosting a “car show within a car show” for our members at this year’s convention in St Louis.
